Today is a little bit rainy and a great day for projects. Annie Sloan has chalk paint that I picked up in Blue. My initial thought was to paint the exhaust hood over our double ovens. It is currently Fab 50 brown. We want to keep the ovens because they are in good shape and authentically retro!

We have one timer for both ovens so the thought was: hmmm...chalk paint so you can write the time to pull things out of the second oven. 

There is so much paint in my little container -- It got me thinking again. I decided to use an old piece of wood from our pantry and now I am turning that into a chalboard "menu" for my antiques booth. People are always asking- "What do you have?". Well via a restaurant menu board of my own creation,  I am going to start letting them know.

 Wow - two great uses for one can of paint.
